Some interesting facts

  • The word safari comes from Arabic for travel or journey. Traditionally the true safari was always a big game hunting trip in East Africa.
  • One of our staff members was christened ‘Safari’ as he was born on a journey to the hospital!
  • After selling Gibb’s Farm in 2004, Margaret Kullander has been able to concentrate all her energies on running Amazing Tanzania (formally Gibb's Farm Safaris). They provide all the outfitting for our Tanzania safaris to the highest standard that we have all come to expect over the past 20 years
  • Ndutu Lodge provides logistical support to all our Serengeti safaris. No other company has the luxury of fresh water, fuel storage and supplies while running safaris in the Serengeti
